Join me for a Challenge!
Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish mission to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish believes hope is medicine. Wishes provide wish kids with hope, renewed energy and strength- aiding them in facing their conditions and in healing. The transformational experience of a wish also unites communities and bonds families’ closer together. Make-A-Wish South Carolina grants, on average, a wish every forty-eight hours. The chapter receives funding through private donations, individuals, companies and special events. The Impact of a Wish
A wish come true empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses. When they are granted a wish, they get more than just a great experience for a day, two days or a week. That experience improves the quality of life for them and their entire family. For their medical team, the experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better, emotionally and physically.
Designed as an endurance event, the Trailblaze Challenge gives participants the choice of 28.3 or 16.4 mile distances to tackle the terrain of the Foothills Trail, all in one amazing day! This is a hike, not a race, and caters to all levels from novice to advanced outdoor enthusiasts. As well as being an extraordinary physical test, the real challenge is to raise much needed funds to grant the wishes of children, in South Carolina, with critical illnesses to renew energy and build hope which aid them in their fight against their illness. By supporting the Trailblaze Challenge, you will help Make-A-Wish South Carolina grant more than 180 wishes statewide this year. #SCtrailblazechallenge
Take the Plunge
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
There are currently over 200 children within our community still waiting for their wishes to be granted. At an average cost of $7,500 per wish, we need help to make each one a reality. Please help by contributing to this fundraiser.
